Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role occupying on-campus student homes, residing with a group of 8–13 students in Norton, OH (with relocation to Hershey, PA contemplated). Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement with the same group of students. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with later placement into a permanent houseparent arrangement. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits; relocation assistance and paid training; and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
