Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Provide daily supervision and mentorship to approximately 813 students in on-campus homes; manage household routines and student schedules; administer medications and ensure student wellness; drive students to activities and plan/engage in developmental and recreational activities; lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel; oversee budgeting and household reporting. Initially a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple student homes, with eventual transition into a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, HSAs/FSA, life and disability insurance, retirement) and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
- No alcohol permitted on duty; campus is smoke-free and weapon-free
