Job Summary
Residential Youth Caregiver role for two-person married couple (Flex Houseparents) who reside in on-campus student homes near Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship of 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Requires experience with youth, high school diploma or GED, two-year married status, age 27+, valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse requirement: married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proficiency in supervising daily routines and student wellbeing
