Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The two-person team resides in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for ~813 students, including administering medications, coordinating routines, driving and planning activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same student group. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
