Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (a two-person married couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. After an initial nine-on, three-off duty cycle, couples transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own student home. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple), relocation assistance, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
