Residential Youth Caregiver

Conduct daily care, guidance, and structure for a diverse group of school-age children and adolescents within a residential home environment. Model positive behavior, support students with homework and routines, and coordinate daily schedules including meals, chores, activities, and bedtimes. Build trusting relationships, offer mentorship, and use positive behavior management techniques to foster responsibility and resilience. Supervise students during on- and off-campus activities, maintain a structured environment, and document relevant observations. Respond calmly to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and follow school protocols. Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support academic, social, and emotional needs. Participate in family-style mealtimes and support life-skills learning such as personal hygiene, organization, and time management. Encourage involvement in extracurricular, community service, and enrichment opportunities while reinforcing school policies and expectations.
