Job Summary
Supervise students in residential homes and during on- and off-campus activities, maintaining a structured environment that supports academic progress, social-emotional growth, and character development. Model positive behavior, assist with homework and school routines, and coordinate daily schedules including meals, chores, and bedtimes. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management while collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address individual needs. Respond calmly to crises using de-escalation strategies and document observations per school protocols. Participate in family-style mealtimes and life-skills learning, including personal hygiene and time management, while encouraging extracurricular and community service involvement. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
