Job Summary
Conduct daily care, guidance, and structure for a diverse group of school-age children and adolescents within a residential home environment. Model positive behavior, support students with homework and school routines, and coordinate daily schedules including meals, chores, activities, and bedtimes. Actively build trusting relationships, offer mentorship, and use positive behavior management techniques to foster responsibility and resilience. Supervise students during home and on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured environment and documenting relevant observations. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support academic, social, and emotional needs. Respond calmly to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and follow school protocols. Participate in family-style mealtimes and support life-skills learning such as personal hygiene and time management. Encourage involvement in extracurricular, community service, and enrichment opportunities. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with a residential school schedule.
