Residential Youth Caregiver

Live and work within a residential student home environment, providing daily care, guidance, and structure to diverse school-age children and adolescents. Create a safe, nurturing atmosphere that supports academic progress and social-emotional growth by modeling positive behavior, supporting homework routines, and coordinating meals, chores, and activities. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management while collaborating with teachers and counselors to address individual student needs. Supervise students during on- and off-campus activities, maintain a structured environment, and document observations or incidents. Respond calmly to crises using de-escalation strategies and follow school protocols to ensure safety. Participate in family-style mealtimes and life-skills learning, including personal hygiene and time management, while encouraging extracurricular and community service involvement. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential schedule.
