Residential Youth Caregiver

Job Summary
Supervise students in the residential home and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Coordinate daily schedules including meals, chores, activities, and bedtimes, and support life-skills learning such as personal hygiene, organization, and time management. Build trusting relationships and offer mentorship to students with diverse backgrounds, using positive behavior management techniques to foster responsibility and resilience. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support academic, social, and emotional needs, documenting relevant observations or incidents. Respond calmly to crisis or conflict situations by utilizing de-escalation strategies and following school protocols to ensure safety. Participate in family-style mealtimes and encourage involvement in extracurricular, community service, and enrichment opportunities. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential school schedule.
