Job Summary
Supervise students daily in residential homes and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Coordinate meals, chores, and bedtimes; support life-skills learning including personal hygiene and organization; and assist with homework and school routines. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management, collaborating with teachers and counselors to address academic, social, and emotional needs. Respond calmly to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and follow school protocols to ensure safety. Document relevant student observations and incidents. Work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential school schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
