Residential Youth Caregiver

Job Summary
Supervise students in residential homes and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Model positive behavior, support life-skills learning including personal hygiene and organization, and coordinate daily schedules for meals, chores, and bedtimes. Actively build trusting relationships, offer mentorship, and use de-escalation strategies to ensure student safety during crisis or conflict situations. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support academic, social, and emotional needs. Participate in family-style mealtimes and encourage involvement in extracurricular and community service opportunities. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential school schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
