Residential Youth Caregiver

Job Summary
Supervise students in the residential home and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Model positive behavior, support life-skills learning such as personal hygiene and organization, and coordinate daily schedules including meals, chores, and bedtimes. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management, collaborating with teachers and counselors to address academic and emotional needs. Respond calmly to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and follow school protocols to ensure safety. Participate in family-style mealtimes and encourage involvement in extracurricular and community service opportunities. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential school schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Strong communication skills
