Residential Youth Caregiver

Job Summary
Supervise students in the home and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Model positive behavior and healthy life skills by supporting homework routines, coordinating meals and chores, and participating in family-style mealtimes. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management to foster responsibility, resilience, and respect. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support academic, social, and emotional needs. Respond calmly to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and follow school protocols to ensure safety. Document relevant student observations and incidents. Work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with a residential school schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
