Job Summary
Supervise students in residential homes and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining structured daily schedules for meals, chores, and bedtimes. Model positive behavior and life skills such as personal hygiene, organization, and time management to support academic progress and social-emotional growth. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management, collaborating with teachers and counselors to address individual student needs. Respond calmly to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and document observations per school protocols. Work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays within a family-style environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
