Job Summary
Conduct daily care, guidance, and structure for a diverse group of school-age children and adolescents within a residential student home environment. Supervise students during home and on- and off-campus activities while modeling positive behavior, supporting homework routines, and coordinating meals, chores, and bedtimes. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management techniques, collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address academic, social, and emotional needs. Document student observations or incidents and participate in family-style mealtimes to reinforce life-skills learning including personal hygiene, organization, and time management. Respond calmly to crisis or conflict situations using de-escalation strategies and school protocols to ensure safety. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential school schedule.
