Residential Youth Caregiver

Job Summary
Conduct daily care, guidance, and structure for students in a residential home environment, modeling positive behavior and supporting academic routines, homework, and life skills. Supervise students during on- and off-campus activities, coordinate daily schedules including meals and bedtimes, and actively build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management. Collaborate with teachers and counselors to identify student needs, document observations, and respond to crises using de-escalation strategies and school protocols. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays while maintaining a safe, nurturing atmosphere that promotes social-emotional growth and character development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
