Job Summary
Supervise students in the residential home and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Provide daily care, guidance, and meals, support life-skills learning including personal hygiene and organization, and coordinate daily schedules. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management to foster responsibility and resilience. Collaborate with teachers and counselors to identify student needs, document observations, and respond calmly to crises using de-escalation strategies. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with a residential school schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
