Residential Youth Caregiver

Job Summary
Supervise students daily in residential homes and during on- and off-campus activities, coordinating meals, chores, schedules, and bedtimes while modeling positive behavior and life skills. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and de-escalation strategies to support social-emotional growth, academic progress, and character development. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify individual needs, document observations, and reinforce school policies within a structured, inclusive environment. Manage irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the residential school schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to obtain certification shortly after hire
- Strong communication skills
- Patience
- Ability to work with children and teens from varied backgrounds
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
