Job Summary
Supervise students in the home and during on- and off-campus activities while maintaining a structured, predictable environment. Model positive behavior and healthy life skills by supporting homework routines, coordinating daily schedules including meals and bedtimes, and reinforcing school policies. Build trusting relationships through mentorship and positive behavior management to foster responsibility, resilience, and respect. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify and support academic, social, and emotional needs. Document relevant student observations or incidents and respond calmly to crises using de-escalation strategies and school protocols. Participate in family-style mealtimes and support life-skills learning such as personal hygiene, organization, and time management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in residential care, education, counseling, social services, or related community programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification shortly after hire
- Cultural sensitivity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to manage irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field
