Job Summary
Residential Treatment Specialist (Temporary 4/10s) provides physical care and, in collaboration with staff, implements programming to assist residents with their Individual Treatment Plans. Supports the Behavioral Health Division by ensuring delivery of quality chemical dependency services. Duties include explaining policies, documenting daily activities, supervising movement and rule compliance, assessing resident behaviors, planning and assisting in structured activities for evenings and weekends, maintaining resident records, assisting with health and hygiene, facilitating the GGI process, file audits, clothing needs, coordinating visits and transportation, and conducting intake/discharge procedures; requires driving a 15-passenger van as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor credentials within 60 days, First Aid/CPR, strong written/verbal communication, computer proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. Preferably 1 year of human services experience and coursework in related areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Agency Affiliated Counselor (WAC 246-810-015, and RCW 18.19.210) within 60-days from the date of hire
- First Aid/CPR certification before first independent shift
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet navigation
