Job Summary
Provide direct care to residents in a group home or intermediate care facility, delivering high-quality resident care, assisting nurses with tasks per doctor’s orders, handling medication administration for Group Home as specified, and supporting resident independence through feeding, bathing, grooming, and daily living routines. Responsibilities include environmental health and safety duties, safety and hazard reporting, conducting regular shift walk-throughs, housekeeping, disaster/emergency drills, planning/measuring mealtime and activity goals, documentation of progress and incidents, transport and field-trips for residents, and participation in resident-related meetings and training to meet agency regulations and ASC best practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED certification.
- At least one year of verifiable experience as a home health aide, caregiver, nursing assistant or other care professional; experience working with challenging behaviors, preferred.
- May be required to have a Florida driver’s license and good driving record.
