Job Summary
Residential Therapist provides direct therapeutic services to children and families within residential and school programs, including individual and group therapy, family therapy, case management, and treatment planning. Responsibilities include assessments, documentation, coordinating with psychiatrists, overseeing treatment and care in residence/school, transition planning for placement, staff training, and on-call duties. RequiresBachelor’s and Master’s level training in Human Services, 2-4 years childcare experience, and licensure preference (LCSW/LPC). Works Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm in a residential setting; benefits include tuition reimbursement, healthcare options, PTO, and retirement contributions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services discipline required
- Master’s Degree in Human Service discipline required or working towards master’s degree
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years experience in childcare setting
- Licensure: LCSW or LPC preferred
- Background checks and pre-employment screening
- Ability to provide direct therapeutic services to children and families
- Ability to develop Master Treatment Plans and conduct client assessments
- Ability to maintain documentation and participate in team-based care
- Professional development and adherence to agency policies
