Job Summary
Ensure the security and operational control of the residential facility by monitoring and documenting resident and visitor activity, conducting searches for contraband, and performing drug testing. Assign and monitor resident work assignments to maintain facility cleanliness while assisting residents with coping mechanisms, problem-solving, and transportation needs. Maintain composure when working with a vulnerable population during emergencies or aggressive situations, utilizing effective communication skills to operate independently or as a team member. This role requires a valid driver's license to transport residents and involves overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to work with a vulnerable population and maintain composure in potentially aggressive or emergencies
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Ability to drive a company vehicle to transport residents
- The ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stoop as necessary
- The ability to stay awake overnight
Desired Qualifications
- One year of work experience in a residential setting or related field
