Residential Support Worker

Residential Support Worker at Willow Lodge (Belper, Derbyshire). You’ll provide therapeutic, trauma-informed support to children and young people in a home-like environment, lead on individual support plans, assist with daily routines, personal care, meals, appointments, and documentation for multi-agency reviews. You’ll use calm, empathetic communication to help individuals feel safe and valued, promote independence, and uphold safeguarding standards. The role involves emotional resilience, strong relational skills, and teamwork within a specialized residential setting designed for up to four young people who have experienced early life trauma; training and professional development are supported. Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, safeguarding, and experience in residential or wider children’s services are highly beneficial. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required, with a commitment to completing it within two years if not already held.
