Job Summary
Conduct daily residential support for individuals to access the community, make friends, and build self-sufficiency through personal hygiene assistance, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and medication administration. Facilitate transportation to medical appointments and recreational settings while supporting the development of friendships and community connections. Assist participants in planning choices, making informed decisions, and advocating for their needs with community organizations and support teams. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and adhere to all agency guidelines, ethical standards, and crisis intervention protocols. Requires a valid Maryland driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle for transporting individuals.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- valid driving license (Driver permit or provisional license are not permitted)
- pass a criminal background check mandated by the State of Maryland
- reliable vehicle to be used in transporting individuals we serve
- good driving record with no more than 2 points
- Demonstrated ability to read and write clearly and concisely
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED
- proficiency in computer-based software, e.g., excel, word and access
- dependable, responsible, consistent and punctual
- flexible and take direction
- ability to work as a part of a team and independently
- pass criminal background check mandated by the State of Maryland
- valid driving license with good driving record and access to a safe vehicle for transporting people receiving services
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Required to work evenings and weekend, when scheduled
- drug-free employer (contingent on successful background check)
