Job Summary
The Residential Aide supports clients in a structured, safe residential addiction-recovery setting, with duties including monitoring the milieu, responding to crises, assisting with admissions and safety checks, transporting clients to activities and meetings, and contributing to discharge planning. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, CPR and MANDT within 90 days, and at least one year of behavioral healthcare experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR/EMR (e.g., Kipu), strong organizational and communication skills, ability to maintain professional boundaries, and commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2 are essential. Demonstrated crisis de-escalation abilities and a collaborative, diverse work approach are valued, as are the ability to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current valid driver’s license and insurability
- CPR and MANDT certification within 90 days of hire (training provided)
- Minimum one year of experience in a behavioral healthcare or addiction recovery setting
- Familiarity with addiction treatment and the recovery process is preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Kipu)
- Ability to empathize with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
- Crisis de-escalation and problem-solving abilities
