Job Summary

Residential Supervisor (DSP) provides day-to-day supervision and living skills instruction for residents in a residential setting, develops and updates individualized treatment plans, participates in interdisciplinary teams, coordinates transportation and personal care, and ensures documentation and compliance with policies. The role requires customer service and problem-solving skills, effective communication, non-violent crisis intervention, and the ability to work within a team to support residents’ independence and well-being. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, linking residents to internal and external resources, attending staff meetings and quality assurance activities, and participating in program-wide improvement initiatives. The position is part-time and located in Benton, Illinois, within Centerstone’s behavioral health services framework.

Required Qualifications

  • Must pass spelling test, grammar test, and required background clearance checks (post-offer physical and other background checks)
  • Orientation to population, and high school diploma or GED required
  • TB testing required
  • For MI residential roles, RSA designation (must be at least 21 years of age)
  • For I/DD residential roles, must meet DSP designation and Rule 116 requirements for medication administration within 90 day probationary period
  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification and pass required training within 90 days probationary period, and maintain thereafter
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
  • Residential Supervisors using EHRs must have computer/keyboarding experience or the ability to develop such skills within required timeframes
  • Ability to use and adapt to electronic/automated documentation systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to develop computer/keyboarding skills within required timeframes
