Job Summary
Residential Specialist provides trauma-informed on-site support at a communal living facility in Southern Illinois (Anna, IL) for residents, including crisis response, daily living support, and coordination with Case Manager to reinforce service plans. Responsibilities include de-escalation, documenting incidents and progress, maintaining facility safety and cleanliness, assisting with transportation and access to community resources, promoting a respectful community environment, participating in team meetings and trainings, and covering evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, trauma-informed approach, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and willingness to meet background checks and licensing requirements. Hours: full-time 40 hours/week with crisis sitter on-call rotation; union position.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Qualifies as a Rehabilitative Services Associate (RSA)
- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive agency vehicle
- valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance
- First Aid & CPR certification
- must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks
- schedules evening or weekend hours, as necessary
- participates in crisis sitter on-call rotation
