Job Summary
Oversee daily operations and staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and effective facility management. Supervise team members by assigning duties, evaluating performance, and providing training or corrective guidance. Monitor security protocols, conduct room searches, and coordinate emergency responses for incidents like fires or severe weather. Manage youth behavior, review incidents, and oversee medication administration with accurate documentation. Assist with appointments, transports, and intake or discharge procedures while communicating operational concerns to leadership. Maintain role model behavior and report safety or conduct issues per policy. Work extended, evening, and weekend hours as needed in a secure, trauma-informed treatment environment for at-risk youth.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with youth in a residential setting
- Prior supervisory experience
- Ability to assess youth with substance abuse, mental health, and trauma history
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Must meet state criminal background check requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to work extended, evening, and/or weekend hours
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Prior supervisory experience
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Strong leadership, supervision, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate with law enforcement, probation, courts, and caseworkers
- Sensitivity to cultural, gender, and individual differences
- Ability to engage with youth, participate in activities, and intervene physically if needed
- Must be physically healthy and emotionally stable
- Must be free from communicable diseases as defined by the state
- Ability to pass evaluations for physical techniques and written certification exam
