Job Summary
The Residential Shift Supervisor oversees facility operations and directs personnel during assigned shifts, ensuring effective support and supervision of youth in care. Responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring performance, assisting with development of work schedules, ensuring compliance with state rules and policies, administering medication, and maintaining detailed records. Candidates should possess at least three years of experience in residential settings, effective supervision skills, and strong communication abilities. A High School Diploma is required, with a preference for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required
- Minimum of three years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems in a residential setting
- Possession of or ability to obtain first aid/CPR
- Effective verbal and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Prior supervisory experience in related setting
- Working knowledge of youth regarding chemical dependency and abuse
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license and safe driving record
- Must meet required state or local criminal background check requirements
