Job Summary
The Residential Services Manager (RSM) manages one of the 12 Information Centers in the College Houses, overseeing front-line resident and guest services operations for Residential & Hospitality Services. Responsibilities include developing information, communication, and customer service strategies, promoting a positive image of the services, maintaining relationships with various departments, and managing a team of student workers. The RSM is essential personnel, expected to work during emergencies or peak activity periods and to assist in ensuring the safety and overall condition of the building.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 to 2 years of progressive customer service experience, preferably in an academic setting
- Above-average oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient in workplace computing: word processing, spreadsheet and database management, Microsoft Office applications, and Internet
- Desire to work in a university setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Dependable and flexible
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student staff and/or part-time staff
- Ability to work in a diverse University setting with high student contact
