Job Summary

Check the exterior of the building on a regularly assigned schedule to maintain a clean and safe environment. Conduct wellness checks to maintain security and program compliance. Orient participants about shelter program rules and responsibilities while engaging them in shelter activities. Maintain shift reports, logs, and required documentation including attendance, disciplinary actions, and bed assignments. Respond to participant requests and questions in a dignified manner, referring individuals to case management for service plans. Attend daily shift change meetings and staff trainings. Report all participant concerns, maintenance issues, and safety threats to a supervisor immediately. Collect, tag, store, and dispose of client property according to policy.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or a GED
Must secure fingerprint image screening
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting up to 30 lbs
Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
