Job Summary
Residential Service Plumber responsible for diagnosing, installing, and repairing residential plumbing systems, including water, gas, and sewage components. Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, determining repairs vs replacements, installing and testing piping systems, maintaining safety equipment, managing vehicle inventory, and communicating effectively with homeowners. The role requires proficiency with blueprints, adherence to local codes, physical endurance, and the ability to lead apprentices and coordinate with other trades. The position offers a four-day work week with benefits, and requires a valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Driver’s License with a clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
- Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems
- Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations
- Experience with pipe cutters, threaders, soldering tools
- Problem-Solving Skills to diagnose complex plumbing issues
- Strong communication skills for customers and team members
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, crawling)
- Safety-oriented mindset and adherence to procedures
- Basic technology skills for field work management
- Leadership & teamwork to guide apprentices
- Availability for flexible hours, weekends and emergency calls
- Driving responsibilities and ability to operate in various environments
