Job Summary
Read blueprints, schematics, and drawings to plan electrical system layouts. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, equipment, fixtures, and controls in residential, commercial, and light industrial facilities. Diagnose issues using testing devices, meters, and diagnostic equipment. Install and maintain service panels, breakers, disconnects, distribution equipment, lighting systems, switches, receptacles, GFCI/AFCI devices, generators, transfer switches, surge protection devices, and EV charging systems. Inspect systems to identify hazards, defects, and code violations. Perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and company standards. Communicate findings and repair options with customers. Complete service documentation, work orders, and inspection reports accurately. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory. Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service calls as required. Work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with performance-based pay up to $120,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Valid Kentucky Journeyman Electrician License
- Minimum 2+ years of electrical service experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain electrical tools, testing equipment, and service vehicles
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to identify problems and provide effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills with customers and team members
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices, OSHA requirements, and NFPA 70E standards
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation when required
Desired Qualifications
- Kentucky Master Electrician License
- Generator installation experience
- EV charger installation experience
- Commercial service experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience using service software, tablets, and digital work order systems
- Experience presenting repair and upgrade options to customers
