Residential Service Assistant Part-Time

Job Summary
Facilitate skill development in social supports, food management, self-care, and relapse prevention while completing required documentation and service plans. Establish ongoing dialogue with treatment team members, medical professionals, and families to provide continuous support. Perform duties related to program service delivery, including crisis intervention in emergency situations and direct intervention with participants. Maintain a 16-hour weekly schedule with weekend coverage on a rotating basis. This role supports adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs at Horizon House's Georgetown, Delaware location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years' experience working in the mental health field
- Any combination of experience, education, or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability preferred
- Very good communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in various computer technologies including Electronic Health Record, Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct intervention with participants
- Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Requires crisis intervention in emergency situations
- Available to work Saturday and Sunday or every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule
- Available to work weekday shifts to maintain a consistent 16 hours per week
- May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather
