Job Summary
Perform residential electrical service calls throughout Suffolk County and surrounding local communities, troubleshooting systems including panels, wiring, outlets, lighting, switches, and service upgrades. Diagnose electrical issues and present repair and replacement options to homeowners while educating them on safety and code compliance. Recommend and close sales for upgrades and enhancements, then complete accurate job documentation and communicate effectively with customers. Maintain a clean work area and follow all NEC requirements and safety standards. Full-time, year-round work with a base pay of $25 to $40 per hour plus uncapped commission. Requires 5–7 years of experience and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of residential electrical service experience
- Advanced residential electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing electrical panels, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, and service upgrades
- Proven ability to present repair options and discuss pricing with homeowners
- Strong consultative sales skills in a residential service environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Commitment to safety and electrical code compliance
- Valid driver's license
