Job Summary
Conduct consultative needs analyses to tailor product recommendations for prospective customers while acquiring new residential leads through door-to-door visits. Present compelling sales proposals for high-speed data, mobile, and video services, then complete all required documentation including dispositioning and order entry. Monitor competitor activities within assigned territories and communicate relevant updates to management. Achieve monthly sales targets across multiple service lines while participating in team meetings and training sessions. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel extensively in all weather conditions, and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language
- Engaging interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services
- A passion to succeed and strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, and as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- A valid driver's license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to travel door to door for extensive periods through local communities
- Able to lift and transport 10-20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years sales or relevant work experience
- Success in a previous sales position, prospecting or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred
- Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals and ability to educate consumers on related products and services as needed
