Job Summary
Part-time Residential Rehab Educator/Counselor needed to help adults with mental illness live as independently and actively as possible. Responsibilities include assisting clients with goal setting and achievement, activities of daily living, socialization, meaningful activities, transportation, and administration of medication; implementing treatment plans to support symptom management and independence. Requires HS diploma or equivalent; coursework toward an Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in health and human services and CPR/First Aid/MAP certifications preferred; valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle may be required at some sites. Proficiency with electronic health records and ongoing training provided. Schedule is Mon/Wed 8a-12p, Tue 8a-12n, Thurs-Fri 8a-11a (23 hours). Compensation based on experience; salary listed as $20/hour for full/part-time equivalent and annualized to $41,600 for full-time equivalence. Location: Randolph, MA with benefits package and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- coursework in psychology, human services, social work or health sciences towards an Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in health and human services or related education/training
- Current valid driver’s license and safe driving record; access to a personal vehicle at some sites
- CPR, First Aid and MAP certifications will be required
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn to use an electronic health record system
