Job Summary
Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in home and community settings. Responsibilities include maintaining participants’ cleanliness, comfort and well-being; facilitating development of self-help and daily living skills; preparing materials for participant activities; promoting self-administration of medications and administering them as prescribed; documenting medication administration and any errors; applying Emergency First Aid and CPR; protecting participant confidentiality; and ensuring adherence to Oak Hill policies, procedures, licensing, and certification regulations. The role involves data collection and charting, program maintenance, and active participation in professional development and training opportunities. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, valid driver’s license, and female candidates only. Union position paying $18.50–$19.40/hour; in-person schedule Tue–Sat 7a–3p at Harwinton, CT.
