Residential Program Therapist

Job Summary
Provide and coordinate therapeutic services for clients and families, including comprehensive assessments, service planning, crisis management, transition planning, and supportive aftercare. Conduct group and individual counseling, family counseling, and develop safety, behavior management, and discharge/aftercare plans in collaboration with the treatment team. Maintain accurate documentation and reports, adhere to agency policies, coordinate with referral agencies, families, and external professionals, and support a 24/7 residential program with on-call coverage. Requires a Masters degree and licensure (LPC/LMFT/LCSW), three years of related treatment experience in foster care/residential/behavioral health, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work under emotional stress, and a valid Texas drivers license. Core duties include admissions screening, ongoing counseling, progress documentation, service-plan development, crisis interventions, and collaboration with community resources; positions involve travel for program activities or training and require cultural sensitivity and commitment to client and family advocacy.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in behavioral sciences or education
- Must have and maintain licensure of LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
- Three years of treatment services in a foster care, residential treatment, or behavioral health setting
- Experience providing therapy in a residential environment preferred
- Must possess a valid Texas drivers license and driving record within insurance guidelines
- Must not have been convicted of felony or criminal offense against a child
