Job Summary
Provide direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small residential home setting. Responsibilities include creating and implementing daily routines and activities, assisting with meal planning, cooking, laundry, and light housekeeping, administering medications and providing mobility support as needed, offering transportation and community access, promoting independence and self-advocacy, maintaining a safe and inclusive home, and completing required documentation in line with agency and state guidelines. Training includes CPR, First Aid, Med Tech Certification, and other DDA-mandated courses; pay is $19.68/hour with a $2.00 weekend differential for weekend shifts; part-time weekend and weekday evening shifts are available; no experience required as paid training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with 2+ years driving experience
- Ability to pass background, drug, and driving record checks
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Ability to complete required training courses (CPR, First Aid, Med Tech Certification, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to assist with wheelchair handling and transfers
