Residential Program Director - SLP

Job Summary

Administer and manage clinical, budgetary, and business operations for the residential program, safeguarding resident funds and streamlining administrative processes across fiscal, human resources, and housing functions. Assign and monitor staff scheduling to ensure coverage and budget compliance while overseeing certification training for Program Nurse(s) and Residential Program Supervisor. Lead program meetings for education, skill growth, and care evaluation; participate in admission processes, discharge planning, and annual service coordination with families. Develop behavior plans, drive residents in compliant vehicles, and maintain site safety standards. Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation for emergency crisis intervention and complete required trainings including CPR/First Aid.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of experience
  • 1-2 years supervisory and/or teaching experience
  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
  • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of individuals, including residents, family members, team, physicians, community agencies, government organizations, funding sources
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere
  • Working knowledge of Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, SHIP, community resources and waiver programs
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities
  • Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models
  • Ability to demonstrate superior problem solving skills
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple simultaneous tasks, organizing, prioritizing, planning, sequencing and completing tasks independently
  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write fluent English
  • Strong computer knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Access to an operational and insured vehicle
  • Willingness to use vehicle to transport residents
  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
