Job Summary
Coordinate services related to finances, activities, healthcare, nutrition, household management, and educational/vocational programs while creating and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage. Perform direct support duties during assigned shifts, including personal cares, meal preparation, transportation, and other activities of daily living. Assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication, and provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff and support team members. Promote person-centered supports that foster independence, choice, dignity, and positive outcomes while assisting with household management to maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment. Communicate program, household, medical, behavioral, and staffing needs to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one year of lead staff experience, or a two-year degree in a related field
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and provide direct support for extended periods
- Ability to safely transfer, reposition, and assist individuals in accordance with established safety guidelines
- Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/or assist with lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be prepared to work some weekend shifts and holidays
