Job Summary
Coordinate services related to finances, activities, healthcare, nutrition, household management, and educational programs. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage while performing direct support duties including personal cares, meal preparation, transportation, and activities of daily living. Assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication by providing guidance and coaching to staff. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment and communicate program, household, medical, behavioral, and staffing needs to supervisors. Work full-time shifts including weekends and holidays, with a starting rate of $20.50/hr.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one year of lead staff experience, or a two-year degree in a related field
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and provide direct support for extended periods
- Ability to safely transfer, reposition, and assist individuals in accordance with established safety guidelines
- Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/or assist with lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be prepared to work some weekend shifts and holidays
