Job Summary
Porter for 7 Hallett's Point in Astoria, Queens, delivering outstanding customer service to residents, guests, and prospects while maintaining lobby, entryways, common areas, and outdoor spaces to the highest cleanliness standards. Responsibilities include daily property maintenance and cleaning, overseeing supply inventories, monitoring on-site contractors, performing vacant unit upkeep and turnovers, ensuring safety, sanitary and security compliance, and supporting Emergency Response Team duties during emergencies (location-based fire/medical events and resident relocation). Requires adherence to company SOPs, strong customer relations, and flexibility to work a Wednesday–Sunday schedule; OSHA 10 and Local 32BJ-related training/certifications preferred, with certificates obtainable within six months. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency preferred
- OSHA 10 hour certificate of completion
- Local 32BJ Training School courses (where course applies to residential operations and emergency response)
- Three plus years porter/handyperson experience (Hospitably or Residential industries preferred)
- Certificate of Fitness S-12 Citywide Sprinkler System, S-13 Citywide Standpipe System (preferred)
- Ability to obtain required certificates within six months of hire
