Residential Plumbing Designer

Job Summary
Produce Waste/Vent Design, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematics, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing in AutoCAD for residential construction documentation. Generate detailed design drawings for single- and multi-family, low- and high-rise structures, collaborating with design staff and drafters to complete projects. Prepare construction documents for bidding and ensure compliance with NSPC, ICC International Codes, and Uniform building codes. Requires BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of residential plumbing design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and blueprint reading. Monday through Friday day shift with potential weekend hours.
Required Qualifications

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent comparative experience
- The ability to read blueprints
- Compute dimensions from architectural plans
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well with other engineers/designers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the NSPC (National Standard Plumbing Code)
- ICC International Codes
- Uniform building codes
- Drive deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments
- Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organizational levels
- Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-tasker
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word, Excel, etc...)
- Monday – Friday day shift
- Additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 3+ years' experience in Plumbing Design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction
- Plumbing Design experience with production of Waste/Vent Design, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematic, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing
- Plumbing Design experience with mid-rise multifamily buildings, mixed use buildings, residential and enclosed parking garages
