Job Summary
Conduct admission, discharge, and post-admission evaluations to develop and modify individualized care plans. Manage communicable diseases, infection control, and emergency care while coordinating treatments and updating medical records. Oversee client medication plans by reviewing records, discussing changes with physicians, and supervising staff administration. Provide health counseling, schedule medical appointments, and develop training programs for direct care staff on illness detection and first aid. Perform weekly and quarterly evaluations with documented notes to ensure client health and well-being. Requires NY State licensure and one year of specialized experience in developmental disabilities treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed and registered as a professional nurse by the New York State Department of Education
- Minimum of 1 year of specialized experience in the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities
