Job Summary
Conduct quarterly apartment inspections, schedule annual Fire Department inspections, and report building maintenance needs to landlords. Assist clients with meal planning, housekeeping, and grooming while providing supervision in arts, crafts, cooking, and life skills groups. Engage clients in social activities, escort them on field trips, and document incidents for supervisor review. Perform on-call coverage for emergencies and substitute for staff on sick leave or vacation. Drive clients to appointments or grocery stores using a personal vehicle. Requires flexible weekend availability for shifts including 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM, with a valid Illinois driver's license and vehicle insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of related work experience
- Must be available to work at least three shifts per month
- Must have flexible availability for shifts 7am- 3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11PM-7AM on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays on an as-needed basis
- Must have a valid IL driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Must be willing to drive clients in personal vehicle to appointments or grocery store as needed
- Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks
- Driving for work required
- Must be able to sit and stand for sustained periods of time
- Must be able to frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls
- Must have close visual acuity
