Job Summary
Monitor residents and redirect behaviors to maintain a safe therapeutic milieu. Assist with admissions, including bag searches, paperwork, and unit orientation. Establish therapeutic relationships while documenting daily notes and conducting weigh-ins. Supervise meals and snacks, preparing adolescent snacks and guiding adult residents. Facilitate group therapies such as DBT and CBT, and participate in community meetings and social activities. Communicate effectively with treatment teams and complete designated call assignments. Work part-time, 24 hours weekly with rotating weekends. Walden Behavioral Care serves eating disorder patients across the East Coast using evidence-based approaches.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Current CPR Certification
- Knowledge of psychiatric group process
- Knowledge of therapeutic relationships processes
- Knowledge of age specific growth and development
- Knowledge of limit setting
- Knowledge of behavior management
- Knowledge of crisis management with aggressive behaviors
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
- Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
- Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work rotating weekends
- Must be available for 24 hours/week
